We are proud to announce the launch of a new website for Hayward Tyler, a global leader in performance-critical pumps and motors for the energy sector.
Read on to learn how we laid the groundwork for a top-to-bottom website overhaul, and exceeded our client’s expectations.
Planning the site
We began with a survey of executives and sales staff across the company in the US, UK, China, and India. This helped us identify goals and aspirations for the new site, and gave us a solid planning foundation.
We then invested in a thorough examination of the site’s architecture, focusing on the ease of navigating highly technical content. New ideas and sections were planned as we balanced product and service information with the Hayward Tyler story.
Crafting the web design
We began with plenty of design planning and research, taking inspiration from some of the top companies in the US. Our web design process gave birth to new visual elements for the Hayward Tyler brand, such as an expanded color palette, display font, and image usage.
Developing great web content
We began content development with a strategic focus on market positioning and key messaging, then worked collaboratively to populate the entire site with rich content. With so much technical information, it was important to maintain focus on our audience of engineers and plant operators as well as on SEO.
Having established a library of visual assets over the years, we were able to fill the site with plenty of professional photos and technical renderings, as well as a number of videos — performing in-house video editing to make them more engaging and web-friendly.
Finalizing the website
In addition to great design and content, we added a number of features and next-level functionality to this website, such as integrated Salesforce forms, robust product pages, engaging animations and hovers, Parallax functionality, and language translation, with a technical knowledgebase coming next. The site is built with maintenance efficiency as a top priority, and includes responsive coding, SEO best practices, and ADA compliance.
