A redesigned website for Stern Center for Language and Learning
The Stern Center for Language and Learning is a Vermont nonprofit organization that supports students, teachers, and schools with the specialized education, training, and resources to thrive in school and beyond. We recently partnered with Stern to build a new website that better suits their complex needs, and the result is a truly beautiful and welcoming site that’s highly functional for users and staff alike.
The Stern Center is a unique organization, as they provide services to three distinct audiences. We developed a plan for their site navigation that provides simplification and wayfinding, helping to quickly direct the user to the right place. This will dramatically reduce their potential clients having to search for the services they need.
Besides clear messaging and instruction, this completely redesigned and rebuilt WordPress site delivers several great new features, including a searchable database of courses and workshops. This was built to be easy for Stern staff to edit and update, since they’re constantly adding new courses to the catalog.
The fresh site navigation uses mega menus for each section, and the design is chock full of vibrant images that add visual interest and emotion. The result is an impactful new site with engaging layouts that is streamlined, easy to use and navigate, and improves their web presence.
