At any given time, our team may have a dozen web sites in development — and it’s always exciting when they go live. We are particularly excited about one of our most recent launches: experiencemiddlebury.com
Experience Middlebury is an initiative of the Better Middlebury Partnership, which works to promote the town of Middlebury, Vermont to businesses and individuals while enhancing the experience of living there. They work closely with the town of Middlebury, local businesses, and Middlebury College to provide professional support, networking resources, and a series of community events to Middlebury, enhancing its economy and quality of life.
The BMP came to Stride with goals of attracting telecommuters and business professionals from around the country and creating an online business community for the Middlebury area. We worked closely with them to construct strategies for bringing these ideas to life.
Central to this effort was branding structure and a robust web site. First, we created an integrated identity system for Experience Middlebury and its sponsored events. We then developed the site’s architecture, wrote and edited its copy, and created a responsive design with a simple LIVE/WORK/PLAY navigation system, business directory, and interactive features. The result is an inspiring online experience with a high level of functionality and readability.
Almost immediately after its launch, the Experience Middlebury site was debuted at a large public event to rave reviews. It was praised by a Google executive for its innovation, and referenced as a model for future Vermont state marketing. Middlebury College has begun using the site to attract candidates, and local businesses are already lining up to be included on the site as members of the Better Middlebury Partnership. We are thrilled by these early results and are anxious to see how this web site continues to meet objectives and exceed expectations.
