We were delighted once again to be an integral part of the Art+Soul celebration sponsored and hosted by our friends at Dunkiel Saunders Elliott Raubvogel & Hand. This annual event brings artists, nonprofits, and businesses together to celebrate and support the good work and creative spirit of our local community.
Each year, Art+Soul benefits a different nonprofit and features artwork inspired by that nonprofit’s mission. All proceeds from the art sales are evenly split between the artists and the nonprofit. This year, the event benefitted Champlain Housing Trust, so the artwork centered around the theme of ‘home’.
So far, Art+Soul 2014 has raised almost $9,000, already exceeding last year’s results. The opening reception on June 5th featured almost 200 pieces of home-inspired art from local artists – from paintings and photography to sculpture and blown glass. Taking place during the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival, the event featured local band Red Hot Juba, which created a festive mood for the pleasant summer evening.
Stride is proud to have contributed again to the design and marketing needs of this special event. It’s always an enjoyable collaboration and an extraordinary event that truly benefits our community.
