Redesigned US Sherpa logo is showcased on a recent trek near Mt. Everest
This just may be the farthest, and definitely the highest, one of our logos has traveled: to the summit of Kala Patthar, a mountain in the Nepalese Himalayas, peaking at 18,200 feet! This impressive mountain is in the neighborhood of Mt. Everest.
We were tickled to discover this group photo on the Facebook page of US Sherpa, a small company for which we recently did rebranding and product tag design. The company led a successful trek to the summit of Kala Patthar on May 25.
We were moved by the life story of the company’s owner, Ongyel Sherpa, a Nepal native who was given the opportunity to live and work in the US, and now gives back to his home country by leading expert treks to the Himalayas and bringing Nepalese handicrafts to the US market. His work has improved the lives of hundreds of artisans and their communities.
US Sherpa’s line of high-quality, natural products include wool outerwear, scarves, wallets and handbags, paper products and home accessories – all made by hand in Nepal. Their products are carried in over 50 stores throughout New York, California, Michigan, Utah, Oregon, Louisiana, South Carolina, Colorado, and Vermont.
